    The casino industry’s outlook is downbeat at this year’s Global Gaming Expo trade show here, but there is a possible bright spot for Kansas — Penn National Gaming may again seek to build and operate a state-owned casino south of Wichita.

    Kansas City residents will face much higher sewer rates in coming years, but city officials also will seek federal funding and try to provide relief to low-income households.

Royals acquire Crisp from Boston for Ramon Ramirez

Say this about Royals general manager Dayton Moore: He promised change this winter, and he meant it. The Royals pulled off their second major offseason trade on Wednesday by obtaining veteran outfielder Coco Crisp from the Boston Red Sox for reliever Ramon Ramirez.
